Robyn Rihanna Fenty popularly known as Rihanna is an Barbadian artist and songwriter. She has brought us hit songs such as Pon de Replay SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. Rihanna is an extremely well-known artist who has sold over 41 million albums across the globe as well as more than 150 million tracks. She was born in Barbados and grew up in the reggae scene. As she started singing, she was an accomplished singer. Due to the chaos in her home and the fights her parents were having, she turned to music. Then she realized that she would like to become a performer. In high school, the girl formed an ensemble and was a part of the auditions to be a part of Evan Rodgers. Evan Rodgers was blown away at her abilities. He suggested that she make the move from her home in New York in order to take on a full-time job as a singer which she gladly did. Her debut album was soon out and Rihanna was a cult artist in no time. The songs that were aplenty of foot tapping became the hot favorites of the youngsters motivating her to venture into films too. Rihanna is a young and skilled woman that has grown into an icon of fashion and teenager icon. Rihanna also puts her fame to good use and has been active in many charities.
