Jessie J
Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English performer and musician. She is known for her unique music sound, which combines soul vocals with pop, hip-hop and electropop, Jessie garnered much fame even at the age of. As well as her numerous awards, she has been nominated for the "Critics' Choice Brit Awards" and BBC's Sound of 2011". Her career started at age 11 in 2002 when Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her in his musical Whistle Down the Wind. As of 2002, she was a part on the "National Youth Musical Theater" performance of "The The Late Sleepers." She came into prominence in 2011 with her first album of studio work "Who You Are,' which was released on February 28. The album was a huge success from the beginning. Within the first few days, 105,000 copies were sold in the UK and 34,000 copies in the US. It was ranked number 2 on the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie has also earned a reputation for her charity work. She participates in charitable organizations such as "Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
